The Conservation District’s Seedling Sale is an annual fundraising event for various district activities and educational programs. Customers are typically able to choose from more than 30 different varieties of trees, shrubs, berry bushes, wildflower seeds and other planting supplies. In a typical year, the district takes in close to 100 orders for more than 5,000 items.

The staff, directors, and associate directors take great care in packing and sorting every order. We will also provide planting instructions and advice for maintenance to our customers. Customers pick up their orders on a specified day at the Cherry Township Municipal Building, south of Dushore.

As part of our annual sale, we also give approximately 400 seedlings to the Sullivan County Elementary School students in grades K-6 and to the students enrolled in the Sullivan County Head Start program. These seedlings are given as part of our outreach to celebrate Arbor Day.

The 2012 seedling sale is now accepting orders.  The deadline for placing orders is March 19, 2012.  The order form and descriptions of seedlings are available below for those interested in printing the file for information on their order.

If you place an order, they must be picked-up at the Cherry Township Municipal Building on April 14, 2012 between 9 AM and noon.   The Cherry Township Municipal Building is locate on Route 87 just south of Dushore.  For questions or more information, please call the district office at 570-928-7057.

Thank you to everyone that ordered seedlings and helped support the conservation district's educational programs.
