The Conservation District’s Seedling Sale is an annual fundraising event for various district activities and educational programs. Customers are typically able to choose from more than 30 different varieties of trees, shrubs, berry bushes, wildflower seeds and other planting supplies. In a typical year, the district takes in close to 100 orders for more than 5,000 items.

The staff, directors, and associate directors take great care in packing and sorting every order. We will also provide planting instructions and advice for maintenance to our customers. Customers pick up their orders on a specified day at the Cherry Township Municipal Building, south of Dushore.

As part of our annual sale, we also give approximately 400 seedlings to the Sullivan County Elementary School students in grades K-6 and to the students enrolled in the Sullivan County Head Start program. These seedlings are given as part of our outreach to celebrate Arbor Day.

The 2010 seedling sale is now accepting orders.  The deadline for placing seedling orders is March 20, 2010. 

The District appreciates participation in this fundraiser. Please remember that the orders are to be picked up at the Cherry Township Building located on Route 87 just south of the intersection of Route 220.  The township building is across from the Fitzpatrick and Lambert dealership. Order pick-up will be from 9 AM until 12 PM on April 17th.  Any order not picked up at this time will be transfered to the district office.  The district will not be responsible for viability of such orders.  It will be the responsibilty of the purchaser to make arrangement for pick-up of these orders.
