The purpose of the ACAP program in Sullivan County is to provide financial and technical assistance for the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) on agricultural operations throughout the county. These BMPs are used to address resource concerns such as stormwater & manure runoff in our local waterways, protecting both human and environmental health.
Examples of ACAP funded projects include, but are not limited to: concrete barnyards, animal walkways, buffer plantings, stream crossings, manure storage facilities, streambank fencing, grass waterways, and more.
