1st Annual Sullivan County Conservation District Photo Contest
In an effort to support the conservation of our county’s natural resources, we feel it is important to allow the public an opportunity to showcase what they feel are Sullivan County's finest natural resources.
Photos will be accepted until October 31st, 2018. Please submit photos to [email protected] please include your name, phone number and the location of the photo. *For additional information see the contest rules below.
Contest Rules:
1. Contest is open to amateur photographers of all ages.
2. Photograph must display a natural resource of Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
3. Images must be of natural resources in a natural setting, including but not limited to: trees, flowers, woodlands, streams, rivers, farms, conservation practices, wildlife and similar themes. Photos of people and/or pets will not be accepted.
4. Photograph must be your own original work and must have not been previously published in any commercial publication.
5. We do not accept digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered photos. Minor adjustments are acceptable. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to disqualify it.
6. In order to ensure anonymous judging, please do not include signatures or watermarks on the photo itself.
7. Only one photo may be entered per person.
8. All entries become the property of the Sullivan County Conservation District and the District reserves the right to use all photographs in publications for promotional purposes.
9. All entries are due to the Sullivan County Conservation District by October 31st, 2018. Judging will be performed by Sullivan County Conservation District Staff and winners will be notified by November 16th, 2018. All decisions are final.
10. Winning photographs will be on display in our office from December 3, 2018 through February 1st, 2019.
11. One grand prize winner will be selected to have their photo on the calendar cover, a free copy of the calendar and a quart of pure maple syrup. Eleven additional winners will be selected and will each receive a free copy of the calendar and one pint of pure maple syrup.
Additional calendars will be available for purchase beginning December 17th, 2018 with all proceeds going to our environmental education programs in Sullivan County.
